Bright suns! A rumor from DisInsider alleges that multiple Sith Lords from ‘Star Wars Legends’ will be appearing in The Acolyte series. Additionally, Batuu from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is rumored to make its live-action debut in an upcoming film/Disney+ series.
In the most recent episode of their podcast, Skyler Shuler and Derek Cornell from DisInsider teased the return of several iconic Sith:
“We’re talking about Darth Revan, folks – which I hear they’re gonna bring in a lot of these Legends [characters]: Darth Bane, Darth Nihilus, Darth Malak, Darth Revan, all in [Star Wars: The Acolyte]. We’ll see.”
Derek Cornell

Cornell didn’t specify how or to what extent the Sith would appear in the series. Nonetheless, fans of The Knight of The Old Republic video game series will be excited to hear about the rumored return of their beloved Sith in canon. Darth Bane made his canon debut as a vision in Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 6. Whereas, Nihilus, Malak, and Revan still have not made canon appearances. Darth Revan has only been name-dropped in the visual dictionary for The Rise of Skywalker and appeared in a deleted scene from season 3 of The Clone Wars.
The pair also hinted at an appearance of a familiar planet in an upcoming Star Wars project. Based on information from their sources, they are certain that Batuu will be appearing in live-action, but are unsure if it will be in a Disney+ series or film:
“I talked about it earlier, I said I’d bring it back up – Galaxy’s Edge takes place in a [planet] called Batuu, which will appear in a Star Wars show… That planet, area, whatever you wanna call it, is going to appear in a Star Wars show. I thought it was a movie at first, but the way it was read to me was that [it was a show]. Could it be [Skeleton Crew], could it be Ahsoka? Maybe it is Taika Waititi’s Star Wars movie! I just know that we’ll make the jump to [a] series and/or movie.”
Skyler Shuler

Batuu is home to Black Spire Outpost, which is a major Outer Rim destination in the Star Wars universe and Disney theme parks. The planet previously made appearances in various forms of Star Wars media, including books, comics, and even video games. If this rumor is true, this will be the planet’s first on-screen appearance.
